This is What Recovery Looks Like.
Every photo here tells a story that once felt impossible to imagine, a story of someone who thought things couldn't change, and then they did. These aren't just before-and-after pictures. They're proof that the person looking back at you in the mirror right now still has a future worth fighting for.
If you're in the thick of it today, we want you to know: the people in these photos were there too. Recovery isn't about becoming someone new, it's about coming home to who you were always meant to be. And it's possible. It's happening every day, for people just like you.
You don't have to see the whole path forward. You just have to take the next step.

The staff at Banyan Treatment/Clearbrook Facility, yes facility in Massachusetts is NOT a hospital. My experience with this facility was 100% amazing. The staff spot on with their care, hospitality etc. Just the beautiful layout of the property. I knew I was in the right place for my alcohol addiction for my entire life. I’m 52 now and let me tell you what. More than Grateful for the tremendous energy from your facility. Thank you. 9 months sober and climbing. Ben. Aka “FACTS “.
With the support of the incredible staff, the Faith in Recovery program, and the tools I learned at Banyan, I’ve been able to stay sober for three years. Every day, I wake up with gratitude in my heart for this second chance at life. My faith has become my anchor, and I know that with God and the principles I learned at Banyan, I can face anything that comes my way.
To anyone struggling with addiction, I want you to know that recovery is possible. The journey isn’t easy, but with the right support and faith in something greater than yourself, you can find hope, healing, and a brighter future. Thank you, Banyan Treatment Centers, for helping me reclaim my life.

Before Clearbrook, I felt trapped in addiction, codependency, and grief. Life was overwhelming, and I often lost myself in old patterns. After attending Clearbrook and making the decision to do whatever they told me to do—whether I wanted to or not—and remembering Rebecca’s words, ‘Nothing changes if nothing changes,’ everything began to shift. I’ve learned to live one day at a time, set healthy boundaries, and reconnect with myself and my loved ones. Today, I feel hope, strength, and a renewed sense of purpose. Banyan has given me a life I never thought was possible—and it feels amazing.

I'm thankful to have had the opportunity to complete 30 days in the substance abuse program and an additional two weeks in the mental health program over the past year. I can say with confidence that Banyan provided me with the highest quality of care I have received in any inpatient or outpatient facility since my recovery journey began.
The counselors, facilitators, therapists, and caregivers that worked with me utilized their unique personal and professional experiences in their work in such a way that helped me feel understood and not alone. I came to understand that I wasn't a bad person trying to be good. Rather, I was a sick person working toards a healthier life. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with kindness and patience.

Questions about our Facilities or Programs?
Our admissions coordinators are available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have as you consider whether treatment at Banyan is right for you or your loved one.
After hitting rock bottom, losing a relationship really made me think. I tried treatment multiple times, but as of Nov30th 2021 I said no more. I was at my breaking point and I was not truly happy. The alcohol had its grips on me. I would drink even when I didn’t feel like it. Now as of December 1st I will have four years away from that poison, and am now a healthy, and happier person! Change is possible!! Coming from the biggest doubter there were. But no more! I can still attend my sporting events and not even blink and eye at liquor.

I asked my son to find me a treatment center, and he did. On January 22, 2019, I walked into Banyan Detox in Gilman, IL, where I stayed for a week. I had never been away from my family, and it was so hard for me. I journaled every day, started making yarn belts, and did anything I could to keep from crying and thinking about all the pain.
I’ve worked hard to get to where I am today. If you’re in treatment or attending meetings, take it all in, learn, and don’t look back.
I walked out of Banyan Treatment Center and never looked back. Just for today, I will stay clean."
During my detox and residency stages with Banyan I found the staff to be operating with such great compassion and patience. The crew I was there with definitely challenged them to their extreme limits. Doing what the staff does every day, from every level, from basic housekeeping to the top of the chain at the facility, I was surrounded by people that were there out of a love for humanity.

The Banyan Difference
We are a family of individuals that come from diverse backgrounds; however, addiction affects all of us in the same way. It devastates lives and families. We came together with a simple mission: to help people break free from the bonds of addiction. We are not a “one size fits all” program, and we have the experienced staff and infrastructure to offer individualized treatment plans to best meet the needs of each individual who comes through our doors.
For rehab to be successful, a clear understanding of the comprehensive needs of each patient must be considered. We believe in the power of customized care and see the value in prioritizing the unique backgrounds, situations, and complexities of each individual who enters any one of our Banyan treatment center locations. Part of what sets us apart from other programs is that we are able to offer all levels of care in a full treatment continuum. This enables us to treat each patient in the most appropriate setting based on their specific needs.
