According to a source that is close to the pop star, Britney Spears has recently checked into a mental health facility in the wake of her father’s colon rupture that seems to be life threatening.
The 37-year-old and her father have always been close and to see her father go through this has been a lot for her to handle and caused her emotional distress.
The singer had announced on Instagram, back in January, that she would be taking a work hiatus from her Las Vegas show to be by father during his illness. It was a difficult decision for her to make, but nonetheless, family comes first.
Recognizing the signs of substance use disorder can be overwhelming, but our drug and alcohol rehab in Boca Raton, FL is here to help with residential recovery services and compassionate support.
Britney is supposed to remain at this facility for mental health treatment for a few weeks. She took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a quote that read: “Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body, spirit” with the caption, “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time.’ :)”
Many of her fans rushed to comment on her post in support; wishing her well and sending her prayers. This isn’t the first time Ms. Spears dealt with mental health issues. If you recall, she had a mental breakdown back in 2007 and checked herself into a psych ward in Los Angeles. We truly hope Britney gets better soon and we are so proud of her for getting the help that she needs. Self-care is always a priority!
