Faith in Recovery
Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment with Your Faith In Mind
When addiction strikes someone, its negative effects can seep into all aspects of their life including their faith. For many people, addiction can cause them to question God and lose their way. When they decide to get help, they are often looking to find strength in their spirituality once more.
Faith in Recovery is a Non-denominational Christ-centered, faith-based program for those who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction or mental health disorders. This addiction recovery program is designed to allow patients to establish or restore their faith and relationship with God while also addressing their addiction. The program integrates clinical therapies and faith-based ideas into a personalized Christian program.
Faith in Recovery is an all-inclusive, separate program. Similar types of programs consist only of a Bible study and a weekly off-site church service. Faith in Recovery is a comprehensive faith-based treatment track. We approach treatment from a spiritual and clinical perspective and all patients are assigned a therapist for their clinical needs. We also have a full-time program director and chaplain for all Biblical needs.
A Spiritual Program for All
We are not your typical addiction treatment center; we believe in a comprehensive approach to substance abuse treatment and for many, this may include healing through their faith. Our goal is to let patients reconnect with God and reestablish their faith as they work through their substance abuse problems.
Although our program is focused on Christian teachings, we welcome people from all different faiths. Jesus himself said all are welcome, so we too try to live by these words. From the person who lost their faith in the face of their addiction or the person who was never religious but is now looking to God for hope, at Banyan Treatment Centers, we welcome you. When you are ready to open your heart to the Lord and increase the strength of your faith, we are here to help you.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
– Jeremiah 29:11-13
What Our Program Has to Offer
We understand that faith is important for many people, especially in their time of need. Through this program, we approach addiction and mental health issues from a spiritual perspective so that our patients feel that all of their needs are being met properly.
Our detox center will, of course, consider your medical needs, but addiction doesn’t just hurt you physically. For many addicts, addiction hurts them mentally and spiritually as well. In conjunction with evidenced-based clinical treatment, we offer a spiritual component to your recovery journey. Your group meetings, individual therapy sessions, and addiction education will all incorporate some of the Christian principles. The 12 Steps will become a platform you can lean on during your time at our facility that will also act to remind you of God’s great power. Along with these therapies, your day will also be filled with unique Christian programming for addiction that will propel your spiritual journey forward but without judgment or condemnation.
The program environment is non-judgmental.
Our Experienced and Compassionate Staff
Our Director and Chaplain, Anthony Acampora, is in charge of our program. He believes in interacting with the patients and giving them spiritual guidance. As a patient, you can reach out to him for individual sessions, and he will be present at some group meetings. Along with our on-staff Chaplain, our program staff members all carry with them a strong sense of faith. They too, believe in the almighty power of God and will be there to help you through your spiritual reconnection.

Individual Faith Counseling Services
Faith in Recovery is proud to announce that we are also offering individual faith counseling services to current patients and alumni. Our chaplain, Anthony Acampora, holds a Master’s in Ministry degree and an Advanced Diploma in Biblical Studies. These faith-based counseling sessions grant patients the opportunity to strengthen and develop their relationship with God while sharing relapse prevention skills from a faith perspective. These sessions are not mandatory, but rather additional services that patients have the choice of participating in.
Our Faith in Recovery program is now being offered via telehealth services on all levels of care, including our intensive outpatient program, outpatient program, residential program, partial hospitalization program, detox, and our alumni program. Our faith-based telehealth groups at Banyan Treatment Centers provide practical recovery insight and relapse prevention strategies from a non-denominational perspective. Patients who decided to take part in our telehealth rehabilitation programs will learn recovery strategies, develop their relationship with God, understand how rough patches can help them grow, and develop a deeper understanding of God’s purpose for their lives. Patients who would prefer to participate in these sessions in person will also have the option to attend our Faith in Recovery facility in Pompano Beach, FL.
Treatment & Spiritual Growth Never Stop
At Banyan, we understand that recovery is never complete and religious growth is ongoing. Upon successful completion of drug and alcohol treatment with Faith in Recovery, patients become a part of the Banyan family. In order to continue their spiritual journey, our patients will not be leaving empty-handed. Along with the tools they need to reenter their normal routine, we offer information on our aftercare program as well as spiritual literature and resources. We will also recommend a home church in their area as well as a 12-step group.
Start your spiritual recovery together to a life full of faith and free from drugs or alcohol. For more information on our many programs including Faith in Recovery, reach out to our specialists today: (855) 722-6926.
