Outpatient Programs at Banyan

Recovery from addiction will look different for everyone. Some people thrive in an intensive setting with 24-hour access to care, while others may require a less severe option. For those in need of comprehensive addiction treatment paired with personal flexibility, our outpatient program (OP) is focused on preventing relapse, and emphasis is placed on long-term recovery. It is an option offered at many of our Banyan rehab locations and serves as one of the last steps toward officially entering the world as a sober individual.

How Does Outpatient Rehab Work?

Outpatient rehabilitation is a form of addiction treatment where individuals receive therapy and support services while still living at home and maintaining their daily routines. The program is designed to help individuals recover from substance abuse or addiction without having to be admitted to a residential facility. In outpatient rehab, patients attend regular therapy sessions with licensed therapists, participate in support groups, and receive medication-assisted treatment when necessary.

The treatment plan for outpatient drug rehab is personalized to meet the unique needs of each patient. During the initial assessment, therapists evaluate the severity of the addiction and develop a plan of care that outlines the type and frequency of treatment needed. Patients typically attend therapy sessions one to three times a week, depending on their individual needs. Group therapy sessions may also be incorporated into the program to provide additional support and to help patients learn from the experiences of others.

Outpatient rehab is often a more affordable and flexible option for individuals who cannot take time off work or have other responsibilities to attend to. It allows patients to continue with their daily routines while receiving the necessary treatment for addiction. Patients can also access support services outside of therapy sessions, including online support groups and hotlines. Overall, outpatient rehab provides individuals with the necessary tools and support to overcome addiction and live a fulfilling life in recovery.

Banyan Treatment Centers' Outpatient Program (OP) is provided in a comfortable, professional setting with a small patient-to-staff ratio. OP is a step down from IOP, with a minimum of 90 minutes of treatment per week. This service is provided in groups or on an individual basis, depending on the patient’s customized care plan. We are a holistic provider of psychiatric and medical care. This level of care is provided 5 days per week at flexible times to accommodate work and family schedules.

Who Benefits From Outpatient Addiction Care

Our OP level of care allows the most freedom for those who are unable to break away from family, school, or work schedules. Even though you may have a hectic work and family life, there will always be time for working on yourself and truly recovering from addiction. For example, those with high-stress jobs may be using drugs or alcohol to cope with the stress, but for this same reason, they are unable to break away and get treatment for fear of losing their job. Mothers who cannot afford a babysitter multiple nights a week no longer have to face that financial struggle: with just 90 minutes of treatment a week, you are qualified to enroll in our Outpatient Program.

The same goes for those enrolled in school who cannot seem to find the time to squeeze in therapy for drug and alcohol use. Banyan Treatment Centers offer the flexibility to choose treatment each week from just 90 minutes, and up to 9 hours. You can balance both treatment and everyday life with the support of our committed team. With OP treatment at Banyan, we don’t restrict you through 24-hour care. Our doctors, case managers, nurses, and therapists work together to guide you through the process and allow you to decide the best method to effectively treat your substance abuse disorder. We can guarantee that your treatment plan will be completely unique to your needs and recovery goals.
