Christian Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment
It is common for addicts to lose their faith or separate themselves from God, but when these people decide to take steps to stop their addiction, they may also be looking to reconnect with their spirituality. Faith in Recovery is a separate treatment program that helps patients work not only on overcoming their addiction, but also on strengthening their relationship with God during the recovery process.
A Different Addiction Rehab
At Banyan Treatment Center Pompano, we believe in a comprehensive approach to addiction treatment that includes spiritual guidance for those who want it. While many of these types of treatment programs boast of a weekly off-site church service, this program is focused on strengthening a patient’s spirituality with every therapy session and clinical program.
Along with Christian-based programming like individual spiritual counseling with our on-staff Chaplain and Program Director, patients will still partake in various different therapies including group therapy, substance abuse education programs, and clinical sessions with our experienced Banyan therapists. Therapies will be focused more on faith than other traditional addiction rehabs. We will also incorporate the 12-Step Program to help patients admit that they have a problem and to look to God for help in the addiction recovery process.
Addiction Rehab for Everyone
This addiction treatment program is designed to help people recover from various substance abuse problems. If you are looking for cocaine addiction treatment to get your life back on track, we have a treatment plan for that. If you are looking to help your loved one with their drinking problem, we have a treatment plan for that as well.
While the treatment is Christ-centered, people of all different religious affiliations and backgrounds are welcome to partake in this program. Whether you are a former atheist looking to find God or a Christian who has fallen away from your faith, this comprehensive program may be able to help you find your way and your spiritual connection.
Patients may begin in a PHP or IOP program depending on their specific needs. After completing these programs, patients will continue their treatment but outside of our facility. At this point, they will be connected with a Celebrate Recovery program in their area as well as a church where they can continue their spiritual journey with local faith leaders. We will provide them with information to further their faithful connection like recommendations for Christian media sources. They will also have access to an aftercare program to help them with this difficult transition. The goal behind this idea is to remove the toxic aspects from the person’s time as an addict and to replace this with programs that will encourage increase faithfulness.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
– Jeremiah 29:11-13

How Do the 12 Steps Work?
The 12 steps were developed in 1935 for use in combating alcoholism. Since then, this program has helped countless people all over the world overcome addiction and alcoholism. The steps begin by first asking people to admit that there is a problem. People going in for recovery admit that they’re powerless to fight alcohol or drugs. Then, they take the second step to believe that a power greater than themselves can help them overcome substance abuse. From there, the 12 steps proceed toward healthy and therapeutic goals, helping them recover and stay realistic, admit wrongdoings and make progress toward goals without self-loathing. Leaning on God Through the 12-Steps
When your goal is recovery there is no proven theory to be a more effective in drug and alcohol treatment than the 12-steps. We combine the steps with our spiritual program. The second step refers to a higher power, in our faith-based program that power is God. The 12-step spiritual program it is a great place to begin!
If you or a loved one is looking for addiction treatment in Pompano that will prioritize your spiritual journey during the recovery process, Faith in Recovery could be the answer to your prayers.
