Kratom Salmonella Recalls

What Is Kratom?

Kratom is a tropical plant called Mitragyna speciosa that is native to Southeast Asia. The tree’s leaves contain compounds with psychotropic effects. [3] Currently, the leaves are crushed and sold in various forms such as powders, pills, or teas. Though kratom is currently not illegal, it’s not approved by the FDA for human consumption. Is Kratom Safe?
