12-Step Program at Banyan Pompano
The 12-Step Program is an approach to addiction treatment that was originally geared towards individuals suffering from alcoholism. The 12 Steps was created by Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith, who believed that someone could only achieve lasting sobriety if they completed each phase of this program. Although the 12-Step model was originally intended to treat alcoholism, it has now been expanded and is applied in various substance abuse treatments in rehab facilities across the nation. At our drug and alcohol treatment center in Pompano, we offer a 12-Step program that can be utilized in patients’ treatment plans to better guide them through the recovery process.
How Our 12 steps for Recovery Works
So, how does a 12-Step Program work? The goal of the method is to help individuals who are battling with drug or alcohol abuse safely reach sobriety and learn how to sustain it after completing treatment.
Patients in our 12-Step Program in Pompano will be given the tools and guidance they need to:
- Recognize their addiction
- Identify the source of their addiction
- Identify growth opportunities that can be expanded following treatment
- Make amends with those who were affected by their behavior
- Assist and motivate others during their recovery
Each of the 12 steps for addiction treatment serves a purpose. As the person progresses in their recovery, they will be continuously challenged to grow and achieve a new goal. At Banyan Pompano, we know staying motivated in addiction recovery can be difficult. Patients in this program will have to face their wrongs and make amends with those who were negatively impacted by the addiction. At our 12-Step Program, we offer clients the support they need to successfully move through treatment and maintain their sobriety in the future.
Additional Levels of Addiction Care
Our Banyan team knows that the best way to ensure our patients’ in and out of rehab is to help them address all of their issues that are related to their drug or alcohol abuse. Because we want our patients to succeed long after their time with us is complete, our 12-Step Program is just one aspect of treatment. We also offer a variety of other substance abuse treatments that can also benefit individuals in need of help. We know that the 12-Step Program is one of many that can help an addict reach sobriety. While The Steps are beneficial, additional support that addresses the mental and physical repercussions of drug or alcohol abuse is often required.
In addition to the 12-Step Program, Banyan Pompano also offers several rehabilitation programs, including our PHP and IOP. But help doesn’t end there. We understand that the transition back to everyday life after rehab can be a challenge. We also offer an aftercare program to patients who have completed one of our substance abuse treatments or therapies. Our trained and licensed staff is qualified to guide you through these awkward and sometimes scary changes.
