At Banyan Treatment Centers Philadelphia, we understand the challenges veterans face when they return from deployment. Most, if not all veterans experience many tragedies and trauma throughout their careers. These individuals often turn to drugs and alcohol to cope with the effects of trauma, including mental illness. Unfortunately, their attempts to alleviate their struggles only make matters worse. As a drug rehab center in Philadelphia, we know that engaging in self-destructive behavior like substance abuse can worsen their mental condition and make recovery nearly impossible. To help the servicemen and women who have sacrificed too much, we are offering a Veterans in Recovery Program at Banyan Philadelphia.

Why Veterans in Recovery?

Our Veterans in Recovery program in Philly is one of the several unique programs and therapies we offer. We believe that addiction treatment should be structured and adaptable to meet the needs of the patient. Every person is different and so will their requirements be when they come to our facility. Our team prides itself on being able to accommodate every kind of patient we receive no matter the severity of their substance abuse disorder. We know that veterans are particularly prone to mental illness and addiction because of the trauma they often experience during deployment. They make up a large group of people who need unique and comprehensive treatment that takes every factor of their conditions into account. That’s why we created a veterans drug rehab program.

Our outpatient drug rehab for veterans offers a variety of benefits, including:

  • A safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can rest easy knowing they’re cared for
  • A form of separation from other patients to ensure privacy, confidentiality, and comfort are respected
  • Individuals therapy sessions with a licensed therapist
  • Group therapy to promote peer support, community, and encourage friendship
  • Development of healthy coping mechanisms related to mental illness and addiction
  • Outdoor activities and outings led by our team

Our veterans' drug rehab program is centered on treating addiction and teaching patients healthy ways to manage negative emotions related to trauma or mental illness. Substance use disorders are both physically and mentally impactful and require in-depth treatment that goes beyond a superficial level of care. We are one of the few veterans drug rehab centers that can offer this form of care.

Our Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs For Veterans

Outpatient Treatment

Our veterans' rehab center offers a variety of outpatient treatment options, including:

  • Outpatient Program
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our outpatient program allows patients to work, go to school, or focus on other responsibilities while undergoing addiction treatment. This program is suitable for patients who have undergone a medical detox and are in the later stages of their treatment plans. Individuals with full-time jobs and families to look after aren’t always able to drop what they’re doing to stay at a rehab center. Offering outpatient treatment offers people with addictions to focus on their responsibilities while healing.

Another variation of outpatient treatment we offer is a partial hospitalization program (PHP). PHP is designed to help patients slowly transition back into everyday life while continuing their addiction treatment plans. This is also a suitable program for individuals who have other responsibilities outside of rehab that they can’t abandon to undergo treatment. Also, even though patients in this program do not live on-site, they are provided with 24-hour care and resources to help them stay on track.

Our third level of alcohol and drug addiction treatment for veterans is our intensive outpatient program (IOP). This program is another flexible, yet structured rehab program for veterans that helps them transition back to their daily routines during treatment. It can be difficult to adjust to a life without drugs or alcohol after receiving substance abuse treatment. We want to prepare our patients for any challenges they may face in addiction recovery, and a slow transition to life outside of rehab can help.
