Intensive Outpatient Programs at Banyan Philadelphia

Addiction recovery is never easy, but it helps to have support and a program that is there to guide you through all of the trials and tribulations of recovery. At Banyan Philadelphia, we do our best to place you or your loved one in the right program for the greatest chance of long-term success. For those patients who recently completed a partial hospitalization program or for those looking for a less intense approach to addiction help, an intensive outpatient program or IOP may be a good option.

Why You Should Choose Our IOP

Our Philly intensive outpatient program is designed to help patients transition back into their day-to-day life free of drugs or alcohol in the long-term. An intensive outpatient program provides constant support and therapy programs to aid in the recovery process while still exposing the patient to the world outside of treatment. If a patient forgoes this transitional type of program, they have a much higher chance of relapsing. IOP provides patients with structure and supervision that is beneficial in early recovery, while also encouraging them to begin planting roots within the community and starting sober lives of their own.

Our Philadelphia IOP programs involve special features and services including:

Our intensive outpatient treatment program includes both group and individual therapy sessions that are less restrictive and more flexible than other addiction treatment program levels to accommodate for busier schedules and give patients more freedom in their recovery journey.

Our therapeutic groups are held 5 days a week and give patients the opportunity to talk with people in similar situations as themselves. Their individual counseling sessions are there to help those patients who are struggling to open up in a group setting or looking to dive deeper into the causes of their substance abuse problems. Because addiction recovery is a life-long journey, we also teach patients how to develop healthy coping mechanisms to prevent relapse. An intensive outpatient program is helpful for this process because patients have a life outside of treatment and are able to address real-life issues and drug triggers that they face during this transition period. Learning how to properly work through challenging situations is what long-term recovery is all about, and we strive to teach our patients the necessary skills needed to overcome these hard times. When patients are not attending groups, they are encouraged to seek employment, volunteer, and attend outside 12-step meetings to continue their recovery efforts.

At Banyan Philadelphia, the goal of our intensive outpatient program is to help patients work toward long-term sobriety by providing them with both flexibility and support as they transition back to their everyday lives. If you or a loved one is ready to take this step, do not wait any longer. Our drug and alcohol treatment center in Philadelphia has helped many people change their lives for the better and you could be next.
