What Is the Mature Track at Banyan Philadelphia?
Banyan Philadelphia is pleased to announce its new Mature Track, a division dedicated to older adult men and women with similar life interests and ages so they can receive tailored, clinical treatment based on their individual needs and lifestyle.
The Mature Track not only offers addiction treatment for those who suffer from substance abuse issues but they also provide treatment for co-occurring disorders, otherwise known as a dual diagnosis, for people struggling with both substance abuse and a mental health disorder at the same time at our addiction rehab in Pompano, Boston, and Philadelphia locations.
The Mature Track therapeutic programming typically consists of an eight-hour schedule that includes both individual and group therapy sessions.
Who Would Benefit From The Mature Track For Addiction Treatment?
The Mature Track is designed for adult men and women, approximately 35 years of age and older, who would benefit clinically from a specialized treatment plan in a community of like-minded and older individuals. Banyan Philadelphia has a long-standing history of offering one of the best individualized treatment plans in the country, honoring the diversity of each client’s needs.
Why Was This Program Created?
This new program was developed after many requests from the outside community, industry research, and the evaluation of the interaction between a wide range of ages and similar interests. Mature adults sometimes find it difficult to relate to younger patients, which may hinder their ability to receive the best treatment services. Older patients will feel more comfortable in peer-to-peer groups where they will more likely participate in discussions based on the subject matter and life experiences they can relate to.
Why Is It Important to Offer a Mature Track at Banyan Philadelphia?
This program is important because Banyan Philadelphia can group clients with similar life experiences together. More important than the chronological age, their level of maturity and interests are also considered. This means that, if clinically appropriate, we can have a 35- or 40-year-old individual in the Pompano, Philadelphia, or Boston addiction treatment Mature Track programs if it best suits their recovery needs.
What If I Have a Job & Responsibilities To Tend To?
Banyan recognizes that clients in this program have jobs and family matters to tend to, so case managers will work with patients to make sure they can meet their responsibilities outside of treatment.
