Meet Our Medical Director at Clearbrook Pennsylvania
Dr. Aly Rifai, MD
Dr. Muhamad Aly Rifai is a physician leader who turned hardship into a calling. He studied medicine and trained in psychiatry and internal medicine, earning board certifications in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Consultation-Liaison (Psychosomatic) Psychiatry. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA), and the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (FACLP).
At the National Institutes of Health, he advanced research and received national recognition for his service. He is the founder and leader of Blue Mountain Psychiatry, where he has delivered evidence-based care both in person and through telepsychiatry since 2006. His work bridges science, compassion, and advocacy for patients and physicians. He writes, teaches, and speaks nationally to reform systems and restore trust in medicine and justice.
Every day, Dr. Rifai witnesses people rediscover their worth. He believes addiction is not a moral failure but a treatable brain disease shaped by pain, biology, and environment. When care is compassionate, structured, and hopeful, hearts open, families heal, and futures reappear. He cherishes guiding individuals on their return to dignity and community, affirming that recovery is real.
Below is a list of the various types of addiction specialists and doctors that are normally on staff in a rehab facility.

Substance abuse nurse practitioners offer addiction recovery medical services to treat clients in our facilities. Nurses on our staff have a combination of advanced degrees and certifications in mental health and substance abuse nursing to ensure our clients receive the best care possible.
Medical directors have years of experience managing health care facilities. Their qualifications must address the various responsibilities of the role.
