Veterans and Military IOP

At Banyan Treatment Centers, Military and veteran addiction treatment is provided in a way that is consistent with informed military culture. We understand that this group of men and women requires a unique form of care, so much so that we offer a Military and Veterans in Recovery program specifically designed for service members, both active duty and non-active. Our rehab in Massachusetts is made up of a multidisciplinary team that addresses the unique and powerful issues that affect many active-duty members and veterans. Our veterans and military IOP is here to help you or a loved one receive the care needed for long-term sobriety.

What Is IOP Rehab?

Our military and veteran Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers treatment options that are customized to each service member’s specific needs and preferences. Our intensive outpatient Massachusetts drug rehab allows veterans and military personnel to return to work and connect with their loved ones every day as they receive addiction care.

Our veterans and military IOP rehab is best suited for clients who have completed medically supervised detox or residential treatment and require more support. It’s also suited for clients who require support but do not require detox or inpatient care.

An intensive outpatient program helps clients rebuild their personal life while implementing new relapse prevention strategies into their day-to-day routine. They’re also guided on how to transition back into their communities while receiving therapeutic support.

How Does Our IOP Rehab for Military and Veterans Work?

Group therapy sessions are at the core of our IOP military and veterans services. We cover a variety of issues, including:

  • Intensive relapse prevention
  • Spiritual healing and awareness
  • Aftercare planning and transition
  • Post-traumatic stress (PTS)
  • Military sexual trauma (MST)
  • Substance use disorders

While clients receive care in our veterans and military IOP, they’ll have the flexibility to go to work and return home at night after receiving treatment during the day. This non-residential program allows clients more control as they work to rebuild their personal lives. Especially considering the trauma and separation from loved ones that veterans and military service members often go through, allowing them the time to rebuild their relationships while they work on their personal struggles is important in their long-term recovery.

For these reasons, we implement services like individual counseling, group therapy sessions, and family therapy as part of our military and veterans IOP substance abuse services to help clients recover while they rebuild their relationships. One-on-one therapy offers clients a safe space where they can receive guidance from counselors, while group therapy offers them support and motivation from others in the recovery community.

As we mentioned before, family therapy is crucial for helping clients rebuild the relationships that were affected by their drug or alcohol abuse. With the help of one of our licensed therapists, our veterans and military personnel can make amends as spouses and family members receive the support they need. What’s more, family and spouses can also learn how to be there for their loved ones and support them in their recovery.
