Our day treatment program for veterans is a level of care offered in the Military and Veterans in Recovery program at our drug rehab in Massachusetts. Drug day treatment is a non-residential rehab program that allows patients to receive addiction treatment while learning how to transition to a sober lifestyle. Substance abuse is prevalent among troops and veterans, mainly because drugs and alcohol are used to cope with mental health disorders and other results of trauma and combat exposure. For this reason, Banyan Treatment Centers has created a program with all types of services specifically designed for the servicemen and women of our country, both past and present.

What Is a Day Treatment Program?

A day program is an intensive outpatient level of care that offers access to a secure, structured environment at our facility in which patients receive treatment during the day and return to approved recovery residences or home at night and maintain important family relationships, schooling, and career goals. Military and veterans receiving day treatment addiction care can commute to and from our Massachusetts rehab center, staying on-site for daily clinical services.

Clients in our day treatment program for veterans and military troops can expect to attend individual therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, and family therapy sessions during the day. This program is overseen by our addiction treatment specialists and physicians to ensure that clients are safe, comfortable, and progressing in their programs.

Day Treatment for Veterans & Active Duty Military

The goal of our day treatment program for veterans and active-duty members is to aid clients as they recover from drug use while allowing them to return home to work on their relationships, schooling, and careers. Our day treatment drug rehab for veterans is best suited for clients who have already undergone detox and/or some form of treatment.

Day treatment is not suited for clients who require medically supervised detox or have not received any treatment for their addiction. Day treatment programs, which are a structured level of support, allow patients to work on their sobriety while learning how to create lifestyles that are conducive to their recovery goals.

As we mentioned previously, patients in our day treatment program for veterans and military troops can expect to work with our specialists in individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family therapy sessions. Everyone is different, which is why we prioritize individual counseling sessions where clients can speak to therapists about their struggles in confidence.

However, we also believe in a strong support system both in and out of rehab, which is why our facility also incorporates group and family therapy in our Day Treatment. All participants in group therapy sessions are veterans or active-duty members, which makes clients more comfortable and helps them relate with others who are facing similar challenges. We believe it’s important for clients to remain connected to others in the recovery community.

Additionally, family therapy sessions guide clients in making amends with loved ones they may have hurt during active addiction. Parents, spouses, siblings, and other close loved ones can work with therapists to better understand the individual, their disorder, and how they can play an active role in the recovery process.

Banyan Treatment Center Massachusetts can help you or a loved one recover from drug or alcohol abuse with the careful, considerate, and daily assistance of our team. For more information about our levels of addiction care or other addiction services for veterans, contact Banyan today.
