Intensive Outpatient Treatment at Banyan Mass

Substance abuse is a terrible disease that can be difficult to overcome on your own. For many people, the first step to beating their addiction is getting professional help. At Banyan Massachusetts, it is our mission to help people of all ages and backgrounds put their substance abuse problems behind them. Because addictions can range in severity, we offer several different types of treatment for addiction to meet each patient’s needs including our Boston intensive outpatient program or IOP.

Who Benefits from IOP Treatment?

Inpatient programming may not be for everyone and a treatment plan should be as unique as the person being treated. After a preliminary health assessment, our staff will help you decide which level of care is best for you or your loved one. Generally, those who can benefit from our intensive outpatient treatment in Massachusetts include:

  • A patient that prefers to seek treatment while balancing their home and work life. Patients in intensive outpatient care can still attend work, spend time with their family, partake in healthy hobbies, and relax in the comfort of their own home while actively working on their sobriety.
  • A patient who is attending school or still needs to work but wants to also overcome their substance abuse problems.
  • Someone who may not meet the requirements for inpatient care but is still seeking treatment with a supportive environment.
  • A patient who recently completed our addiction day treatment near Boston and is looking to continue their care on our treatment continuum.

Banyan’s Intensive Outpatient Program in Boston

To begin, all incoming patients will undergo a full medical assessment that will lead to a personalized treatment plan as well as recommendations for a level of care that will best meet their needs. Patients placed in our Boston intensive outpatient program will work toward their long-term sobriety goals.

Our IOP rehab in Boston offers a safe and comfortable haven for patients outside of the harsh realities of the real world. No matter how much you prepare for life outside of treatment, the transition from residential care back to your regular routine can be difficult. Our IOP helps bridge this gap with programming up to five days per week. Patients can enjoy a wide variety of addiction rehab therapies that deliver the support and therapeutic help needed for a successful recovery. Members of our IOP program receive treatment from therapists, doctors, group counselors, and clinicians in a small client to staff ratio.

Because patients are working toward returning to a normal life, our IOP in Massachusetts focuses largely on relapse prevention. Patients will learn various tools to help them with addiction triggers as well as several healthy coping mechanisms to replace their substance abuse habits. Because patients will also be transitioning back to their normal life, our intensive outpatient program allows them to address any addiction triggers they come in contact with now so that they can learn the best way to address these problems in the future when IOP is complete.

Once you or your loved one has successfully completed our Boston IOP, we offer an alumni rehab program that connects our former patients with one another to create a community of support. We also offer sober living resources to help you with your recovery journey.

IOP could be the first step toward sobriety for you or a loved one. Let us help.
