Martin County Detectives Seized Drugs, Cash, & Pill-Making Machine

Martin County Detectives Seized Drugs, Cash, & Pill-Making Machine

Within the past year, Martin County has seen over 190 overdose cases, including 34 deaths.1

As a result, county officials have been cracking down on drug-related cases. After investigating the rise in drug use in their county, law enforcement officials apprehended 23 people involved in a pill-making drug scheme. Martin County detectives seized drugs, cash, and a pill-making machine after a four-month investigation named Operation Relentless Pursuit Reloaded.1

This machine was illegally used to make narcotics distributed alongside other drugs. In addition to the pill-making machine, there were other drugs found in the Martin County drug bust, including crystal meth, cocaine, heroin, and gray death.

As a center that offers drug and alcohol treatment in Stuart, we’ve witnessed the harmful effects of drug abuse. Addiction can deteriorate a person’s life if they don’t get the right help. We offer several forms of therapies and programs that are personalized to meet the needs of our patients.

Growing Concern After Delaware Law Enforcement Officials Find Pill-Making Machine

Law enforcement officials’ concerns increased after Martin County detectives seized drugs, cash, and a pill-making machine. A variety of harmful drugs have taken their toll on Martin County residents, resulting in overdoses and drug-related deaths. Maj. John Budensiek and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office claim his department arrested over 30 people involved in this drug scheme. In addition to $89,000, drugs including cocaine, heroin, gray death, and crystal meth were found during the Martin County drug bust.1

The abuse or even short-term use of drugs can result in immediate negative effects and long-term health problems. Addiction can also leave the individual more vulnerable to contracting other diseases and health conditions like cancer, liver disease, heart disease, mental illness, and much more. Cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, and gray death may affect the body in different ways, but they are all equally as addictive and damaging.
