Medically Monitored Detox
The highest and most intense level of care for addiction treatment includes a medically monitored detox program that will initially allow the body to get rid of all toxins and substances. A prolonged drug addiction requires detox to properly treat the disease and effectively manage the withdrawal symptoms that are inevitable during this phase. At Banyan Treatment Center Massachusetts, we work closely with some of the best detox facilities in the area to get our patients prepared for the treatment process with us.
Residential Treatment
After an individual has detoxified completely and no longer requires have medical stabilization, the next level of care is residential treatment. Residential treatment is a level of care most commonly found in detox facilities to act as a step down from detox. During a residential stay at a treatment center in Massachusetts, you will still have access to 24-hour medical care, as well as partake in therapy sessions with a supportive community.
Partial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program is a level of care in a non-residential setting, but with the same benefits as an intensive treatment program. Programming typically consists of therapy 8 hours a day, 5-7 days a week. This level of care teaches life skills and acclimate patients into the world outside of treatment again.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Intensive outpatient treatment programs are a step down from PHP and are recommended for those who have an addiction that does not require restricted medical supervision or full-time treatment. IOP programs are suitable for those who are able to receive treatment on a part-time, but intensive schedule. Therapy usually takes place 3 hours a day, several days a week. Upon completion of a Partial Hospitalization Program, it is often recommended that patients then attend an IOP for continued support in early recovery.
Outpatient Program
An outpatient treatment program is considered the least intensive of all levels. Therapy and counseling sessions occur throughout the week, however, the amount of time spent at a treatment center should not interfere with daily activities and responsibilities.
