The opioid epidemic, alcoholism’s rising numbers, the statistics about addiction can be frightening. Many everyday people are wondering how they can make a difference for those who are struggling with addiction.
Finding charities to donate to, looking for addicts to support through rehab, it can be daunting to figure out an ethical way to make a real difference for the people in recovery who need it most. Bayan Treatment Centers has opened its Banyan Cares Scholarship Shop, an online clothing and accessories store developed for a good cause. 100% of the proceeds from their addiction recovery activism line support their Recovery Program Scholarship Fund.
How to Make a Difference for Someone Struggling with Addiction or Alcoholism
Saving a life can start with buying a shirt form the Banyan Cares shop. This is because a shirt, hat, or accessory purchase from Banyan Cares is like making a donation to someone’s recovery journey. All proceeds from the Banyan Cares clothing lines support our treatment organization’s recovery scholarship fund. This fund is used to help patients who otherwise may not be able to afford treatment by covering their costs for detox, inpatient rehab, IOP, OP, and more.
Sadly, only 1 in 10 people who are struggling with addiction gets the treatment help they need. But with our Roots to Recovery drug treatment scholarship, patients can break through the barriers keeping them from treatment and start on the path of recovery. Since 2018, we have given 213 recovery scholarships, and we’re excited to see this number grow as our scholarship program continues growing with support of our addiction recovery activism line.

Recovery Clothing for a Good Cause
We have worked to develop clothing and accessories anyone would be proud to wear. Because a purchase from our charity shop does more than just fund our scholarship programs. Wearing our shirts and accessories can help to reduce the stigmas surrounding addiction, alcoholism, mental health, and recovery. With more people discussing addiction and recovery, like Brandon Novak, the less harsh the stigmas surrounding recovery. Open conversations about recovery make addiction less taboo and help more people get the help they need for recovery.
At Banyan Treatment Centers, we are committed to helping people from all around the country get and stay sober. Our scholarship shop has been created to help us reach this goal by funding our scholarship program and promoting more open conversations about recovery to reduce the stigma. If you are searching for resources for families of addicts and you are wondering how you can truly make a difference, we encourage you to visit our online scholarship shop.
