- What are some things that make you feel stressed? How are you coping with these things?
- How much alone time do you think you give yourself every day? Do you think you’re isolating yourself?
- What are some unchangeable things in your life that you’re struggling to accept, and why?
- Name three things you like about yourself, and why.
- Do you ever compare yourself to others? Why do you think this is harmful?
- Discuss points of your recovery journey you feel you’ve accomplished.
- Discuss goals you still want to achieve in your recovery.
- Share some personal moments of anger and how you managed them.
- What are three bad habits that you’d like to replace with good ones? What are some good habits you can replace them with?
Recovery group discussion questions may vary depending on the leader and the focus of the group. Additionally, group members should always honor these values: confidentiality, commitment to attendance, no socializing with group members (until after the group is disbanded), communication through words and not actions, and participation.
