Fun Sober Things to Do on New Year’s Eve
Break out the party hats and fireworks, because we’re rewriting what it means to have a great New Year’s Eve. If you’re newly sober, or if you’re getting a head start on your New Year’s Resolution by finding sobriety now, you’re going to need to plan some fun sober celebrations. Here are our favorite sober New Year’s activities:
- Fireworks and sparklers. Depending on your state’s rules, you may be able to celebrate with your own at-home fireworks. It’s much safer using fireworks and sparklers when you’re sober, you’ll avoid injuries and many dangers. If you’re unable to enjoy fireworks at home, consider attending local events where the pros put on stunning firework shows.
- Silly games. There are plenty of silly party games that can bring lighthearted fun to any sober New Year’s party. Pass the Hat is a fun game where partygoers try to pass a hat from one to another without using their hands. Scavenger hunts are also a fun sober New Year’s Eve activity.
- Mix mocktails. You don’t need alcohol to enjoy this holiday. Stock your party with the perfect ingredients to create sober mocktails for New Year’s featuring sodas and various syrups.
