Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee says he was drinking 2 gallons of vodka per day throughout the past year.
He says, “I would just wake up and be just building – just all vodka and just a little eyedropper of cranberry or lemonade. I was drinking two gallons – not pints, not quarts, but gallons, the big-handles – a day.” The 58-year-old doesn’t know how he is still alive, let alone didn’t get alcohol poisoning, as a “lethal dose” is one liter and two gallons is equal to 7.5 liters! Before Tommy Lee started drinking vodka by the gallon, he was four years sober. His wife, social media star Brittany Furlan, urged him to check into an addiction treatment facility.
Tommy Lee’s Sobriety
When Tommy went to the doctor to get checked out, the doctor told him that his liver was fine and that he was healthy. It is baffling that Tommy Lee’s alcohol addiction didn’t cause permanent physical damage. Tommy says “It wasn’t even phasing me. That’s kind of crazy I just became sort of immune to it and realized, ‘whoa, this is a lot. Like this isn’t good’. So, it was time for me to pump the brakes.” In two weeks, Tommy Lee will be one year sober!
